2048 is a simple and famously addictive number puzzle. The board holds tiles of 2, 4, 8 and up. Every swipe sends all the tiles one way, and two equal tiles that collide merge into one with double the value. The goal is the 2048 tile, and getting there takes far more planning than luck.
In Hamdor, 2048 is a single-player game that works fully offline. There are three board sizes, an undo button for the move you regret, and your score, biggest tile and time shown at the top.
How to play 2048
- Swipe up, down, left or right; every tile slides as far as it can that way.
- Two equal tiles that meet in a move merge, and the new tile's value is added to your score.
- After each move a new tile appears in an empty cell, usually a 2 and sometimes a 4.
- A swipe that moves nothing does not count.
- Making the 2048 tile is a win, but you can keep going for bigger tiles.
- When the board is full and no move is possible, the game is over.

- 4×4 classic: the original 2048, sixteen cells and a good balance of room and challenge.

2048 strategy
- Keep your biggest tile in a corner. Pick one corner and never let the big tile leave it. This is the key to 2048.
- Lean on two directions. With the bottom-left corner, swipe mostly down and left, and swipe up only when you have to.
- Keep the corner row full. A full bottom row means left and right swipes can't pull the big tile out of its corner.
- Build a chain. Line tiles up in order next to the big one, like 512 beside 1024, so merges cascade.
- Clean up small tiles. Scattered 2s and 4s fill the board quickly; merge them early.

- Undo: made a wrong move? Take it back and think again.
