Klondike is the best-known single-player card game, the one most people simply call solitaire. Cards are dealt into seven columns and the rest form the stock. The goal is to move all 52 cards to the four foundations, one per suit, from ace up to king, by uncovering hidden cards and building columns down in alternating colours.
In Hamdor, Klondike plays fully offline. Choose draw 1 or draw 3, ask for a hint when you are stuck and undo any move. Once every card is face up, the game finishes the rest for you.
How to play Klondike Solitaire
- Seven columns are dealt with one to seven cards; only the last card of each column is face up.
- In the columns, place a card on one a rank higher and of the opposite colour, such as a red ten on a black jack. An ordered run can move as a unit.
- Only a king, or a run starting with a king, can go into an empty column.
- When you move the card covering a hidden card, the hidden card turns face up.
- Foundations start with an ace and build up in suit to the king.
- Turn one or three cards from the stock, depending on the mode; only the top card of the waste is playable.
- When the stock runs out, turn the waste over and go through it again, as often as you like, at a small score cost each pass.
- You win when all 52 cards are on the foundations.
These are the exact rules Hamdor plays by; the app shows them too, under each game's How to play tab.
Draw 1 and draw 3
- Draw 1: one card at a time. Easier, and more deals can be won.
- Draw 3: three cards at a time with only the top one playable. The harder, more thoughtful version.
- Classic scoring: points for moving cards home and for turning hidden cards; each pass through the stock costs 100 points in draw 1 and 20 in draw 3.
- Hint and undo: the hint button shows a useful next move, and any move can be undone.

Tips to win at Klondike
- Turn hidden cards first. A move that uncovers a card is almost always better than drawing from the stock.
- Work on the longest columns. The column with the most hidden cards needs the most work; when torn between two moves, free that one.
- Don't empty a column for nothing. Only kings can fill it, so clear a column when a king is waiting.
- Pick your king with care. With one empty column and two kings waiting, check which coloured queen is available to follow.
- Don't rush cards home. Send aces and twos up, but a five or six may still be needed as a landing spot. A foundation card can come back to the columns if you need it.
- In draw 3, remember the stock order. If you play nothing from the waste, the same cards come up next pass. Playing one card shifts the order and brings new cards within reach.
Klondike Solitaire in Hamdor
- Fully offline: once Hamdor has opened, this game runs without a connection.
- Hint and undo: stuck? The hint button shows a next move, and undo takes a mistake back.
- Stats and records: games played, games won and your best results are kept.
- Your own look: change how the table and pieces look in the Hamdor shop. It is cosmetic only and never affects who wins.

Can I play Klondike offline?
Yes. Klondike in Hamdor works completely offline, in the Android app and in the web app.
What is the difference between draw 1 and draw 3?
Draw 1 turns one card at a time and is easier. Draw 3 turns three at once and only the top one is playable, so it is harder.
How many times can I go through the stock?
As many times as you like. Each pass costs a few points, but there is no limit.
Is every Klondike deal winnable?
No. Some Klondike deals can't be won whatever you do. Hint and undo help you try different lines.
